Labor Day 2026 Last Minute Deals: TVs, Appliances, Mattresses & Outdoor Savings Worth Checking

Labor Day is over, but several of the strongest sale prices did not disappear with the holiday. Some retailers have extended selected deals for a limited time.

The useful question is not “Who has a Labor Day sale?” Almost everyone does. The useful question is which categories are actually in a strong buying window right now.

For Labor Day 2026, the clearest opportunities are mattresses, large appliances, grills, patio items, outdoor equipment, and selected tools. TVs and other electronics have real discounts too, but we would compare those more carefully because Black Friday is still ahead.

Ends September 9: selected Home Depot and Lowe’s home, appliance, grill, patio, tool and outdoor offers. 1. Mattresses: One of the Best Labor Day Buys

Mattress sales are not subtle this weekend. Mattress Firm is currently advertising savings across mattresses, adjustable bases, bedding, and sleep accessories, including sale and clearance discounts advertised up to 60 percent on selected items.

Current Mattress Firm offers include the Serta Perfect Sleeper Charlotte 2.0 Medium Euro Top queen mattress at $689.99, reduced from $1,199.99 — a savings of $510, or about 43% off. It is marked as a Labor Day Deal, and Mattress Firm lists a free adjustable base with code ELEVATE on this qualifying purchase. Casper is also worth comparing, with Labor Day savings advertised up to 35% off mattresses and bundles. Purple has become another deal worth checking. Its current Labor Day promotion advertises up to $1,199 off a mattress plus base and up to $799 off Restore hybrid mattresses, with the promotion running through September 15. 2. Large Appliances: Strong Sales, Watch the Final Cost

Home Depot’s current Labor Day appliance sale is showing strong category discounts: up to 35% off refrigerators, washers, dryers and ranges, and up to 40% off dishwashers and air conditioners. Select appliance packages can go deeper. Home Depot is also advertising additional package savings and delivery offers on qualifying purchases, so compare the complete checkout price and package requirements.

Lowe’s is also running Labor Day savings across major kitchen and laundry appliances. September 8 update: selected appliance sale prices are scheduled through September 9, while a separate Lowe’s Exclusive Appliance Bundle can continue through September 16 for signed-in shoppers in select locations. On qualifying purchases of $996 or more in select major appliances, the bundle can include free delivery, free installation with required parts, free haul-away, and a free two-year protection plan. 3. Grills and Patio: End of Summer Timing Helps

This is one of the categories where the calendar is working in your favor. Retailers are transitioning from summer inventory toward fall, which creates a natural reason to clear grills, patio furniture, outdoor lighting, and related items.

Home Depot’s current Labor Day event includes patio and grill deals. One example advertised on its corporate sale announcement is the Traeger Pro Series 22 Wood Pellet Grill for $389, reduced from $549. The exact price and inventory can vary, so check the product page before buying.

4. Outdoor Power Equipment: Good Timing for Planned Purchases

Home Depot and Lowe’s are both featuring outdoor equipment in their Labor Day events. A current Home Depot example is the Ryobi 40V HP blower at $279, reduced from $349. This is the kind of seasonal discount worth checking when the tool was already on your list. Availability can vary by location.

The smart version of this deal is buying an item you know you will use this fall or next spring. The expensive version is buying a tool because it looked lonely under a red sale sign.

5. Tools: Shop the Exact Tool, Not the Size of the Discount

Home Depot currently has a dedicated Labor Day tool sale with deals across power tools, batteries, hand tools, and accessories. Current examples worth comparing include a RYOBI ONE+ 4-tool combo kit at $199, reduced from $249, a DEWALT 20V MAX XR 2-tool kit at $299, reduced from $349, and a Milwaukee M18 FUEL 2-tool kit at $399 with a free 5.0Ah battery promotion. Bundle value depends heavily on whether you already use that battery platform, so compare the exact kit contents before buying.

This category is full of bundle offers, free item promotions, and battery system decisions. That means the headline discount is only part of the value.

6. TVs: Real Labor Day Deals, but We Would Still Compare

Best Buy has many TVs marked as Labor Day deals right now, including OLED, QLED, large screen and budget models. Current deals worth comparing include the Hisense 58 inch QLED at $199.99, the LG 65 inch C6 OLED evo at $1,499.99 with $1,200 in advertised savings, the Samsung 65 inch S90H OLED at $1,599.99 with $1,100 in savings, and the Samsung 77 inch S90H OLED at $2,299.99 with $1,400 in savings. September 5 budget update: Best Buy is also showing the Insignia 65 inch F50 4K Fire TV at $239.99, reduced from $449.99. That makes it a notable option for shoppers who want a large 65 inch screen without moving into premium OLED pricing.

Labor Day TV deals can be worthwhile. However, November is close enough that we would be more demanding here than we are with patio furniture or grills.

7. Small Electronics: Only When the Discount Solves a Real Need

Labor Day pages are full of chargers, speakers, headphones, accessories, and other smaller tech. These are easy purchases to rationalize because each one feels inexpensive compared with a refrigerator or mattress.

That is exactly why we would be careful. Five “small deals” can quietly cost more than the one item you actually needed.

September 5 tech check: Amazon’s Labor Day sale has several small electronics deals worth comparing, including Fire TV devices, Echo devices, Ring doorbells and Blink cameras. Walmart is also showing the Apple AirTag 2nd Generation 4-pack at $79.99, reduced from $99, with low stock indicated at the time of this check. September 6 soundbar update: Best Buy is showing the Samsung Q-Series HW-Q990F 11.1.4-channel soundbar with subwoofer and rear speakers at $999.99, marked as a Labor Day Deal with $1,000 in advertised savings compared with a value of $1,999.99. That inventory signal makes the AirTag deal worth verifying quickly if it was already on your shopping list.
